Safer Skies Act of 2025

This bill would require certain smaller charter flight operations to follow the same, stricter security rules that currently apply to larger scheduled passenger airlines. Right now, smaller charter flights and commuter flights using planes with fewer seats follow less strict security requirements. Under this bill, charter and commuter flights that carry 10 or more passengers, operate scheduled public charter service, and don't use TSA-managed security checkpoints would have to meet the higher security standards.
