GREEN Appraisals Act of 2025

This bill requires mortgage lenders who make home loans backed by the federal government to tell borrowers they can ask for an energy report about their property. If the borrower agrees, the lender must give any available energy report to the person who determines the home's value. The appraiser must consider this energy information when deciding what the property is worth.
