New Collar Jobs Act of 2025

This bill creates several ways to encourage cybersecurity education. It gives employers a tax break when they pay for workers to earn cybersecurity certificates or degrees, and businesses that use this tax break would get bonus points when competing for large federal contracts worth more than $5 million. The bill also allows student loan forgiveness for people who have made 36 monthly payments in a row and worked in a cybersecurity job in a struggling local economy for at least 12 of those months. Finally, it makes cybersecurity teachers eligible for awards through an existing government scholarship program.
