Freedom of Association in Higher Education Act of 2025

This bill says that college students have the right to form or join social groups that only allow members of one sex, like single-sex clubs or organizations. Colleges that receive federal student aid money cannot punish these groups or their members just because the group limits membership to one sex. Colleges also cannot pressure students into giving up these rights as a condition of enrolling, and they cannot place special rules on recruiting for single-sex groups that don't also apply to other student organizations, unless both the group and the college agree to it in writing.
