BOP Direct-Hire Authority Act

This bill lets the Bureau of Prisons, which runs federal prisons, use a faster hiring process to fill open job positions. Normally, federal hiring follows a longer process, but this bill allows the Bureau of Prisons to skip some of those steps to hire qualified people more quickly. This faster hiring ability would end once 96% of the Bureau of Prisons' job positions are filled.
