VET PFAS Act

This bill would give VA healthcare to veterans and their family members who have certain health conditions and lived at military bases where people were exposed to PFAS chemicals. PFAS are man-made substances that may affect human health. The VA could only provide this care if the condition was caused by PFAS exposure at the military base, not other causes. The bill also creates a rule that assumes certain health conditions in veterans who served at bases with PFAS exposure were caused by their military service, making them eligible for disability payments.
