Wabeno Economic Development Act

This bill tells the Forest Service to sell about 14 acres of land, including the rights to any minerals underground, in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in Wisconsin to a company called Tony's Wabeno Redi-Mix, LLC. The company must offer to buy the land at its fair market value, which the Forest Service will determine through an official appraisal, and the offer must be made within 180 days after that appraisal is approved. The company also has to cover all costs related to the sale. On top of that, the Department of the Interior must publish a detailed review of how the federal government handles permits for digging up stone, sand, and gravel on federal lands.
