Highway Funding Flexibility Act of 2025

This bill would stop federal money from being spent on electric vehicle charging stations through two existing programs. Instead, it would require states to use any unspent money from those programs on other types of projects, such as building or fixing highways and bridges, creating wildlife crossings to reduce animal-vehicle crashes, or adding parking for commercial trucks. The bill also requires the Department of Transportation to distribute any remaining or future money from these programs to states using the same formula already used for regular federal highway funding.
