Economic Opportunity for Border Communities Act

This bill tells the Department of Commerce to create a plan to help towns and cities near the U.S. border do better economically. The plan would focus on creating more jobs in these communities, making U.S. manufacturing stronger, lowering the costs of shipping goods in and out of the country, and giving people more chances to build job skills. The bill defines border communities as towns and cities that are within 15 miles of a land border crossing point.
