Apples to Apples Comparison Act of 2025

This bill requires the government to publish detailed information about how much money Medicare spends on different types of coverage, including hospital services, medical services, prescription drugs, and Medicare Advantage plans. The data must be broken down by county and city area, covering the past 10 years and projecting the next 5 years. It also requires two separate groups — the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission and the Medicare Boards of Trustees — to put out yearly reports comparing spending on people in Medicare Advantage plans versus those not in Medicare Advantage, as well as spending on people who have some types of Medicare coverage but not others.
