Preventive Health Savings Act

This bill would require the Congressional Budget Office to study whether proposed laws might save money in the long run by using preventive health care. Preventive health care means actions that help keep people healthy and prevent disease before it happens. If the Congressional Budget Office finds that a proposed law would save money through preventive health care beyond the usual 10-year budget period, they must explain how much money would be saved and why. These estimates would be used as extra information and would not affect official budget rules.
