Whistleblower Protection Act of 2025

This bill extends protections for workers employed by companies or organizations that receive contracts or grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Current law says that workers who report wrongdoing related to federal contracts or grants cannot be fired, demoted, or treated unfairly for speaking up, but this only covers contracts and grants signed or changed after 2013. This bill would expand those protections so they also apply to HUD contracts and grants that were signed before 2013.
