Israel should not get preferential treatment
First off, they insist on creating this divide between religions, ethnicities, gender, etc. On top of that, I think Israel receiving $3.8B per year (totaling $300B so far), having access to US military weapons & R&D programs, complete access to the Pentagon to bark marching orders,paying the retirement of IDF soldiers, among other things.... now they demanding for universities to do business with them.
Federal student aid funding should be for INDIVIDUALS - private citizens - seeking equal opportunity access to higher education to in turn contribute to a better society in so many ways. This funding should NOT come with stipulations and dominion over universities who are private institutions. The government has no constitutional right to approve or deny boycotts that fall under free speech led by the student body or university itself. The bill is pulling at straws trying to assign student aid as federal funding towards the private entity. This bill violates the republican majority opinion of government staying out of affairs of private institutions. This bill violates the democratic majority opinion opposing colonizing, genocidal Zionist governments. And ultimately, this bill violates our American constitutional right to free speech.
