Transportation Worker Identification Credential Efficiency Act

This bill tells the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to create guidelines that help people in federal, state, and local prisons apply for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card before they are released. A TWIC card is needed for workers who want to access secure areas at U.S. ports and ships. The guidelines would help prisoners start their applications early and also help them challenge a decision if they are initially found ineligible for the card.
