Health Care Efficiency Through Flexibility Act

This bill gives accountable care organizations (ACOs) in Medicare more time to switch to a new electronic system for reporting quality measures. Instead of being required to use the new system starting in 2025, ACOs can keep using their old reporting methods through 2029. The bill also requires the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to set up a pilot program from 2028 to 2032 to test other digital ways for ACOs to report their data, and ACOs in the pilot program don't have to use the other reporting methods. After the pilot program, the agency must publicly share what it learned and any recommendations.
