FCRA Liability Harmonization Act

This bill reduces the amount of money that credit reporting agencies have to pay when they break the rules about how they handle people's credit information. Right now, courts can make these agencies pay large punitive damages when they purposely break the rules, but this bill would put a cap on those payments. The bill also limits how much can be awarded for court costs and reduces how much money people can receive in group lawsuits against credit reporting agencies.
