Fair Credit Reporting Reseller Accuracy Act

This bill says that companies that collect and combine people's credit information from other sources — instead of keeping their own credit records — must take reasonable steps to make sure the information they share is as accurate as possible. However, if one of these companies passes along information exactly as it received it from another credit reporting agency, it cannot be held legally responsible for errors in that information.
