Kayleigh’s Law Act of 2026

This bill requires federal courts to issue a no-contact order against someone convicted of certain violent crimes or sex crimes, meaning the convicted person would be prohibited from contacting the victim. The order would be put in place at sentencing and would last for the defendant's lifetime unless a court later ends or pauses it through specific procedures. The victim or the federal government can request the order, and no fees can be charged to the victim for getting one.
