Sinkhole Mapping Act of 2025

This bill requires the U.S. Geological Survey to create a program that studies what causes sinkholes, including things like big storms, long droughts, and overuse of underground water supplies. The agency would also have to make maps using advanced 3D data to show areas that are more likely to develop sinkholes. These maps and other important information would be posted on a public website so that community planners and emergency managers can use them.
