Civil Preparedness for Agroterrorism Exercise Act of 2026

This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security to carry out a practice exercise within four years to help the country get better at preventing, responding to, and recovering from attacks on America's farms and food supply. The exercise must involve a scenario where terrorists bring a harmful biological substance, like a dangerous germ, into the United States to damage important agriculture and food operations, and it must look at how government agencies and private organizations can work together to prepare and reduce major disruptions. After the exercise is finished, DHS has 180 days to send Congress a report explaining what was learned, how those lessons will be used going forward, and any new laws that might be needed.
