Preserving Patient Access to Home Infusion Act

This bill changes Medicare rules to make sure that pharmacy services and home infusion drugs given without a pump are covered as part of home infusion therapy. It also lets nurses and physician assistants create and review the care plan for home infusion therapy. Additionally, the bill says that Medicare can still pay for this therapy even if a doctor or other practitioner is not physically in the patient's home when the drug is given.
