New Producer Economic Security Act

This bill creates a new program within the Farm Service Agency to help people who are new to farming, ranching, or owning forest land. The program would give funding and grants to groups like state and local governments, tribal nations, nonprofits, and colleges, which would then directly help new or economically disadvantaged farmers and ranchers. The help could include money to buy land, water rights, or air rights, fix up land and soil, get clear ownership of inherited property, and support getting a farm started and keeping it going long-term. Foreign-based or foreign-owned corporations cannot receive this assistance, and a special committee would be set up to help decide which applications get approved.
