SHIELD U Act

This bill gives federal, state, local, and airport law enforcement agencies the authority to detect, identify, and deal with threats from drones, especially around commercial airports. It requires each commercial airport to create a task force to plan how to respond to drone threats, and it allows certain government agencies to hire outside help for these anti-drone efforts. The bill also lifts some restrictions on radio frequency jamming technology so law enforcement can use it to stop dangerous drones, and it requires the development of training programs on anti-drone activities for law enforcement and private security agencies.
