Moab UMTRA Project Transition Act of 2025

This bill lets the Department of Energy give the Moab uranium cleanup site in Utah to Grand County for free once it finishes removing radioactive waste from the area. The Department of Energy would keep certain water rights needed to continue cleaning up contaminated groundwater, including access to wells, even after handing over the land. The bill also says Grand County cannot sell or give any part of the land to private companies or nonprofit organizations.
