She DRIVES Act

This bill requires the Department of Transportation to update car crash safety testing rules so that female crash test dummies are used alongside male crash test dummies. Right now, crash tests mainly use male dummies, so this bill would require new rules that include both adult male and adult female dummies for front and side crash tests, with updated injury measurements for body parts like the head, neck, chest, and legs. The bill also requires updates to the New Car Assessment Program's testing procedures to include these dummies and requires the Department of Transportation to send reports to Congress about plans to add even more types of crash test dummies in the future.
