PRECISE Act of 2025

This bill updates several Department of Agriculture programs to support "precision agriculture," which means using technology to more carefully manage things like seeds, water, fertilizer, and animal feed so that farmers waste less and protect the environment. It changes two existing conservation programs so they can help farmers adopt precision agriculture practices and buy the technology needed to use them. The bill also allows certain government-backed loans for rural areas to be used for precision agriculture, and it requires the USDA to encourage the use of outside experts when helping farmers with soil health, cover crops, and nutrient management.
