A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Federal Communications Commission relating to "Addressing the Homework Gap Through the E-Rate Program".

This resolution would cancel a rule from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that was published in August 2024. That rule allowed schools and libraries in a program called E-Rate to buy discounted Wi-Fi hotspots and mobile internet service so students, school staff, and library users could get online outside of school or library buildings. The rule required that these hotspots be used mainly for educational purposes. This resolution would undo that rule entirely.
