SAFE FOOD Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to study whether the different government agencies that handle food safety should be combined into one single agency. Right now, food safety responsibilities are split between agencies in both the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services. The Department of Agriculture would then send a report to Congress with its findings on how such a consolidation could work.
