Streamlining Federal Cybersecurity Regulations Act of 2025

This bill creates a group made up of leaders from different government agencies to review and simplify the cybersecurity rules that those agencies put in place. The group, led by the Office of the National Cyber Director, would work to make cybersecurity rules more consistent across the government by creating a shared set of basic requirements and cutting down on rules that are confusing, repetitive, or too burdensome for the businesses and organizations that have to follow them. The group must get input from the public and industry experts while building this new framework, and then some agencies would test it out through a pilot program. After the pilot, the Office of Management and Budget would tell agencies how to make sure their cybersecurity rules line up with the new framework.
