HEALTH Panel Act

This bill officially creates a Panel of Health Advisors within the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), which is the office that estimates how much proposed laws would cost. The panel's job is to give expert advice and recommendations to CBO when it analyzes health and healthcare topics. The panel must have 15 members who each serve three-year terms, chosen by leaders of the House and Senate Budget Committees and the CBO director. The panel is also required to report to Congress on what recommendations it gave to CBO and how CBO used them, and CBO must post that report on its website.
