Don’t Sell My DNA Act

This bill protects people's genetic information — like results from genetic tests — when a company that holds that information goes through bankruptcy. If a company goes bankrupt and its property includes people's genetic data, the company cannot use, sell, or lease that data unless every person whose genetic information is involved gives written permission. If the genetic information isn't handled according to these rules, the person in charge of the bankruptcy must delete it.
