Expanding Access to Diabetes Self-Management Training Act of 2025

This bill would expand Medicare's coverage of training that helps people manage their diabetes on their own. It allows more types of health care practitioners, not just doctors, to provide this training, and it guarantees patients 10 hours of initial training plus 2 extra hours each year. The bill also stops Medicare from putting limits on this training when a health care provider says it is medically necessary. In addition, it requires testing a program where this training can be done virtually, to see how that affects costs and health outcomes.
