Treat and Reduce Obesity Act of 2025

This bill changes Medicare to allow more types of doctors and health care providers, like physician assistants and nurse practitioners, to provide obesity counseling sessions that Medicare will pay for. Right now, Medicare only covers this type of counseling if it comes from a primary care doctor. The bill also makes it so Medicare's prescription drug coverage includes medications used to treat obesity or help people who are overweight manage their weight.
