Rescissions Act of 2025

This bill cancels certain government funds that have been approved but not yet spent. The money being canceled was originally given to the Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and several other agencies and programs. These programs cover a wide range of areas, including international health, refugee assistance, peacekeeping, disaster aid, democracy efforts, clean energy technology, and development support in various regions around the world. The President proposed these cancellations using a process allowed under existing law, but they must be approved by Congress to actually take effect.
