Research for Healthy Soils Act

This bill directs the Department of Agriculture to make research on tiny plastic particles (called microplastics) found in treated sewage waste spread on farmland a high-priority topic, including funding grants to study ways to filter or break down these plastics before they reach agricultural land. It also renews funding through 2031 for several existing research programs, including ones focused on food safety training, crops like beans and lentils, and protecting honey bees and other pollinators from health threats like colony collapse disorder.
