Safe Response Act

This bill renews funding through 2030 for a government program that gives grants to help first responders get overdose reversal drugs, like naloxone, and training on how to use them. Right now, the program only covers opioid overdoses, but this bill would expand it to cover overdoses from other types of drugs too. It also broadens the kinds of treatments the program can provide by including any drugs or devices that are legally sold, not just those specifically approved by the FDA.
