ARTIST Act

This bill stops states from banning the sale or trade of certain marine mammal products — like ivory, bone, or baleen — that are legally made by Alaska Natives into handicrafts or clothing. Under this bill, states could not block the importing, selling, trading, or possession of these items as long as they are authentic Alaska Native-made products.
