Sustaining Our Democracy Act

This bill creates a new fund, paid for through 2035, to help states improve how elections are run. It sets up a new office that would give money to states for things like training poll workers, making it easier for people to vote, and improving how federal elections are managed. To get the money, each state would need to submit a plan explaining how it will use the funds and set up a fair process for handling complaints. States would not be allowed to use the money for anything that makes it harder for eligible voters to participate in elections.
