MORE DOT Grants Act

This bill aims to make it easier for certain rural counties to get transportation grants from the Department of Transportation. It applies to counties with 100,000 or fewer people where the federal government owns or manages more than half the land. For these counties, the amount of local money they have to contribute to qualify for grants would be cut in half, and the Department of Transportation would be required to give them extra help with their applications. The bill also says that counties that haven't received grant money in the past 10 years should be given priority, and applications from these counties should get special consideration when grants have money set aside for rural areas.
