Synthetic Biology Advancement Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to create a new National Synthetic Biology Center. The center would serve as a place where researchers and businesses work together to find ways to use synthetic biology to improve farming, reduce harm to the environment, and make the food system stronger. It would give grants to certain universities to do research in areas like gene editing, microbes, digital farming, and indoor farming, working alongside nonprofits, state groups, national labs, or other universities. The center would also have to set up a website to share its findings and help connect researchers and innovators.
