Share the Savings with Seniors Act

This bill changes how much seniors on Medicare pay out of pocket for certain medications used to treat ongoing health conditions, like blood sugar drugs and blood thinners. Right now, the price seniors pay may not reflect discounts that drug manufacturers give to insurance plans, but this bill would make sure seniors' costs are based on the lower, discounted price of the drug. It sets caps on what seniors have to pay for these medications both before and after they meet their yearly deductible.
