Deceptive Practices and Voter Intimidation Prevention Act of 2025

This bill makes it illegal to knowingly spread false information about voting within 60 days of a federal election if the goal is to stop someone from voting. It also bans using artificial intelligence to create false voting information for that same purpose, and it prohibits anyone from blocking or interfering with people trying to vote or register to vote. If false voting information is being spread, the Department of Justice is required to put out correct information to the public. The bill also makes it illegal to intimidate people involved in processing ballots or counting and certifying votes, and it allows people harmed by these actions to take legal action and sets up criminal penalties for violations.
