PLAN for Broadband Act

This bill tells a government agency called the NTIA to create a national plan to better organize federal broadband programs and make it easier to build broadband infrastructure on government-owned land. It also sets limits on how much money can go to certain broadband programs that favor specific technologies, and it requires government agencies to find and fix reasons why applications to build communication equipment on federal property are being delayed. Additionally, the bill makes it much easier for smaller broadband projects to qualify for a faster environmental review process by lowering the cost requirement from $200 million down to $5 million.
