Setting Consumer Standards for Lithium-Ion Batteries Act

This bill requires the Consumer Product Safety Commission to create a safety rule for rechargeable lithium-ion batteries used in small electric vehicles like e-bikes and electric scooters. The rule would require the companies that make and sell these products to follow safety standards created by certain recognized standards organizations in the United States and Canada.
