White House Safety and Security Act of 2026

This bill sets aside $400 million for a project to modernize the East Wing of the White House, covering design, construction, and related costs. The project includes building a secure State Ballroom, a facility for screening visitors, and other national security-related facilities. The money would be available to use until January 20, 2029. The bill also extends certain customs user fees by about three months, from the end of December 2031 to the end of March 2032.
