Legalizing Premium Health Care Act of 2026

This bill would let people on Medicare hire certain health care providers — like doctors, nurse practitioners, therapists, and others — and pay them directly, even if those providers don't normally accept Medicare. The patient could then file a claim with Medicare to get reimbursed at the standard Medicare payment rate. The patient and provider would need to sign a written agreement, and the patient could ask the provider to file the Medicare claim for them. The bill would also override any state laws that limit how much these providers can charge for services that Medicare covers.
