Prevent Government Shutdowns Act of 2026

This bill would automatically keep the government funded at the same spending levels as the previous year if Congress hasn't passed its regular spending bills before a new fiscal year starts. This would prevent government shutdowns by making sure programs and activities that were already funded can keep running. The bill would also place limits on official travel by government officials, breaks taken by Congress, and Congress's ability to work on bills that aren't related to government spending until the spending process is finished.
