Diversity Jurisdiction Inflation Adjustment Act

Right now, federal courts can hear certain lawsuits between people from different states if the amount of money involved is more than $75,000. This bill would raise that minimum amount to $150,000, meaning smaller cases would need to be handled in state courts instead. Starting in 2030, the minimum amount would be updated every 10 years to keep up with inflation.
