Spotted Lanternfly Research and Development Act

This bill makes fighting the spotted lanternfly a top research priority for the Department of Agriculture and allows grants to develop tools and treatments to combat this invasive insect, which comes from Asia and damages many crops and plants like grapes, apples, and hardwood trees. It also renews funding through 2028 for several other USDA research programs, including ones focused on food safety training, protecting bees and other pollinators, and studying bee health and population issues.
