USTRx Act

This bill creates a new position called the Chief Pharmaceutical Trade Negotiator within the U.S. Trade Representative's office. That person would be responsible for negotiating trade deals and enforcing agreements related to American-made medicines, specifically focusing on wealthy countries whose policies make it harder for U.S. drug companies to sell their products. The bill also requires the U.S. Trade Representative to put together a yearly list of high-income countries, have the negotiator report on how those countries' actions affect pharmaceutical trade, and submit a plan to Congress for how the U.S. should respond to any unfair practices by those countries.
